5.0 Process dynamics and control

Course Description:
This course describes process dynamics, and Laplace transform study, it also includes applied modeling of the chemical processes, understanding different feedback controllers and control systems. Study the response of open loop and closed loop , and evaluation of controller actions and performance.

Course Outline:
Chapter 1: introduction to process control. Chapter 2: dynamic behavior of processes (Laplace transforms and function models). Chapter 3: feedback and feedforward control ( feedback controllers, dynamic behavior and stability of closed-loop systems, tuning and troubleshooting).
